Zane W.m. Dean, MD, FACC

Dr. Zane Dean is a cardiovascular disease specialist who brings three decades of experience to his practice. He earned his medical degree from Osmania Medical College at the University of Health Sciences in Hyderabad, India, followed by comprehensive training that included a flexible transitional year at Baylor College of Medicine, internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and cardiovascular diseases fellowship at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Dr. Dean is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds Fellowship status with the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He provides care in English.

Dr. Dean practices at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital and sees patients at two locations: the Lima Memorial Health System Heart & Vascular Institute in Lima, Ohio, and Lima Memorial Health System Specialty Care in Van Wert, Ohio. His expertise includes managing high cholesterol in children …and teens, treating hyperlipidemia, and caring for patients with hypertension. He performs essential cardiac diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms (EKG/ECG), contrast echocardiography, and transthoracic echocardiograms to evaluate heart function and detect cardiovascular conditions.
