Dr. Zayn Copeland, MD

On my first visit, an exterminator arrived to spray for roaches and I was yanked out of my exam room and placed in another. Dr. Copeland told me she’d prescribe naproxen sodium for my arthritic hands, then the PHARMACIST had to make her aware of interactions with my medication and she changed the script to prednisone, which is not recommended for someone with my condition. Any educated doctor would know this. Almost immediately, Copeland wanted to test me for sleep apnea and I was sold on a c-pap machine despite being told I had mild sleep apnea. $500 down the drain for that doc appt, SELF TESTING and the c-pap machine… No one from Copeland’s office ever gave me my stats on the sleep study, they were just interested in selling me the machine, getting the kickback. Worse yet, afterward, I discovered online studies show mild sleep apnea is best not treated with a c-pap. Again, that’s $500 down the drain and a waste of my time. Copeland just wanted to make the sale, getting her… kickback and didn't really care about my actual need. If she had integrity and were better educated on c-pap usage, she never would've recommended the machine to me. Copeland’s nurse told I’d be billed for the c-pap machine FIVE months at $10 a month, then I’d get a final bill for around $100. The girl is sweet, but she gets everything wrong. I got a $160 bill up front with TEN monthly upcoming payments of $10 deducted straight from my account. I left Copeland’s office a message when I got the surprise initial $160 charge and never got reply. At my last visit, I had 5 quick issues I wanted to address with Copeland and having called beforehand, the office assured me she’d have plenty of time for them. When Copeland saw my list, her exact words were, “Pick 2 to go over today and you’ll have to schedule another appointment for the rest.” Well, now it’s been a month, I’ve received my bill from her and she charged me for a LEVEL 4 appointment, despite spending 5 minutes with me and addressing only 2 questions. She charges whatever she feels like charging. All in all, the staff is disengaged and unprofessional, Dr. Copeland is unknowledgeable, aloof and seems focused on making sales and getting the biggest monetary bang from each visit - and the premises are roach infested. The roaches should've been my first tip off. She's done NOTHING to help me with my arthritic hands, overcharged me for visits and prescribed NOTHING that I've been able to fill considering both meds are contraindicated. I thank the pharmacist for being on top of his game because this "doctor" surely is not.

Dr Copeland Literally saved my life. I have Sickle cell Anemia and no Hematologist would see me for reasons i dont know she may not specialize in my illness but she gave me everything she could to help me she did the same thing a hematologist would do for me as for as my medication she cant treat me in the hospital because my disease but she is a life saver as an outpatient doc. no doc would see me they all said they dont treat sickle cell even though there blood doctors i did some research and found out that the reason is money there is no money in sickle cell its all in cancer and luekemia and its a african american disease and a lot of doctors and nurses say we are faking our pain and are drug seekers a lot of sickele cell patients get that but not dr copeland

Dr. Copeland is an excellent internist. She takes the time needed to listen and examine the patient. Finally she comes up with the desired results needed to resolve your issues and help you to get well!.
