Dr. Zeba Sami, MD

Do NOT see Dr. Sami. I met her once on behalf of my son. I had a printed list of concerns which I presented to her. She didn’t address even ONE of my concerns and wouldn’t let me talk. She overtalks you and you just can’t get a word in edgewise. Who does that? Oh yes, she does that! She gives off an air of superiority since she is the « expert » despite my being the mother of my own son for all the years I have known him outside my womb! She overbooks appointments or changes the time of the appointment with only hours warning. Never mind she doesn’t actually ever SEE you at the hour she changed you too, by the way. You hurry up and… wait. Oh well, doesn’t matter if that means leaving one’s work early when sick time is so limited. DR. Sami is NOT a good listener whatsoever. She makes you feel rushed out the door. If the meds don’t work, she just keeps fiddling around with the doses or puts you on another one and has little follow up. When it is finally your turn to see her, she still… doesn’t listen and just does what she pleases with the patient. NEXT! And out the door you go. You feel like the hinge on a revolving door. And she works with those fragile folks with mental health issues, mind you! She can’t be on time plus she is lax in getting the meds prescriptions to the pharmacy and makes you feel like you are nothing other than just a time slot in her ever so busy day. I met her once and that was MORE than sufficient for me to figure her out. I feel sorry for anyone under her « care! »

So sorry to read all these negative experiences. Perhaps Dr. Sami read them as well and changed her ways (and staff?). Two ladies in front are very nice and helpful. Dr. Sami does sometimes keep me waiting (which I hate), but since covid and video apps that hasn't been a problem. I normally speak with her for about 20 minutes. She really helped me when I was in dire need. I find her to be sympathetic and helpful.

very unprofessional doctor she never give you time to speak about your problems , she totally spend 7 min with me only !! she didn't let me explain everything without interpreting me every time I talk , don't recommend

I was sent here after being released from the hospital for a bipolar episode, and I was beyond upset when I got there that this was the place the hospital recommended. First off, the receptionist there is beyond rude. Repeatedly and sternly told me to come in early because the DR doesn't like to wait. Got there 15 min early. Waited over 45 minutes to see her though I was the first appointment on the books? Come on. First Flag. Then I get in there and she sees me for maybe 5 min max. Seriously? Second Flag. She barely listened to me at all and added another medication to my med list while simultaneously messing up my other prescriptions writing down the wrong dosages. Tried to call back to tell her about the problem and get it fixed. Guess what. Rude receptionist picks up the phone. Not only did they NEVER get back to me, but i had a fiasco trying to get my meds switched back to the dosage I left the hospital with after she wrote down the wrong dosages. Third Flag. THEN comes the… biggest flag of them all. I get out of my 5 min appointment and the rude receptionist says "That will $500" WHAT? I called the day before to schedule an appointment, gave you my information, and they said NOTHING about having to pay money up front or after the appointment, no i figured, oh, my insurance must be covering this, awesome! WRONG. So unprofessional on every level, disorganized, and really just treat you as another number, Yeah she might be smiley, yeah she might ask you a few personal questions to make you feel a connection with her, but at the end of that day it is all a front to get you in and out the door and grab your cash before the next person comes. STAY AWAY.

very inconsistent. RUDE staff. Watch the billing. They like to charge for visits you don't have, or visits you cancelled but they didn't cancel in their books. She will tell you one thing in one visit, then change her mind in another. 5 minute visits often. Stubborn. Your thoughts don't matter. She won't listen. Interrupts. Promises one thing, then doesn't follow through or denies it all toghether. Charts are a mess if she has a chart at all. She is always shocked to learn about what meds I am on! She does NOT do phone calls. Not for the smallest thing. Office staff don't take messages. You must make appointments to relay the tiniest bit of information. She just wants to make more $$. Refills are a nightmare. Never done on time. I am always running out of medicine. They ignore refill requests. Need I go on?

Dr. Sami does not like when you question her about the medications she is prescribing fot you. She refuses to answer any questions about a medication that another doctor has prescribed for you, even if you are concerned it has bad interactions with one she has prescribed. She does not ever ask if you sre have any problems with the meds she prescibes. She talks to adults as if they are children.

Dr. Sami has been taking good care of me for 18 years, and I feel like she saved my life :)

A person should not choose a practice that they really don't have the heart for. Dr. Sami unsympathetic to the needs of her patients. She rushes through the appointment, never has the file. Totally unprofessional. I feel sorry for the patients who don't see this.

She is excellent. Interested in patients, helpful ad gets as good results as possible in this difficult field.

I was switched to her after my ongoing Psychiatrist retired. I had seen him for years within the county health system and regularly received medication for ADD. My career was that of clinical social worker. I have been in prison. First thing she said was 'I work, have worked for Corrections.' She then said she does not rely on other doctors evaluations yet goes to Psych. documentation from the prison system and says, 'you don't have ADD because these corrections doctors say you don't and you weren't diagnosed as a child. When I asked about my previous doctors notes and extensive eval. done by psychologist she discounted them. When I stated I have been a patient here for years, gotten medication for years here she said I could request to see another doctor. When I asked about suddenly being denied medication she continued to point out I can see another doctor. I continued to ask about being suddenly denied medication(5 times). She finally said she would write a script… for 2 weeks. She asked NO questions about symptoms, how I was doing currently, what difficulties I may have...NO questions that would enable her to make 'my own diagnosis.' Absolutely no questions on my day to day functioning. I will add that I never abused medication nor have I been problematic for this agency. DO NOT SEE THIS PERSON
