Dr. Zenaida B Eclarinal, MD

I made an appt for 2pm this last Wednesday. Front desk called shortly after the appt was made asking if I could if it was okay to move my appt to 12pm because she had to leave the office early that day. I show up for my appt quite early, signing in at 11:35am. Thinking that maybe she would appreciate an early patient since she had a time constraint that day. I was promptly called back & a nurse took my vitals & asked various health questions before escorting me to a secondary interior waiting area. I sat down in at 12:16. I waited, watching everyone around me being called back, for two hours. I finally got fed up & flagged down a nurse to ask what was going & if it was normal to wait this long. I was informed that Dr. Zenaida Eclarinal had already left. So knowing that she had a 12 o’clock appt, at what point had she left? Was it before I showed up 25 minutes early & she just didn’t bother to inform anyone so that her patient could be contacted & get rescheduled before I wasted my… time? Was it when my chart was pulled & I was called back by a nurse & instead of informing me or any of the staff that she was leaving, she just allowed them to admit me & wait for a Dr. who wasn’t even there? Was it after I was already sitting down waiting to be called? If that’s the case, instead of taking a second to pop by & explain to me that she had to leave, or even just informing one of the nurses so they could take me back to the front desk to reschedule, she just walked out of the building leaving one of her patients sitting there for two hours. What a complete lack of professionalism & basic human decency. When I went to the front desk to reschedule (that appt was scheduled for the next day & the exact same thing happened all over again so I walked out & won’t be returning again), I overheard the staff speak about her always “being in her own little world” & about how it must be nice for her to be able to “just leave for the day whenever she wants” speaks volumes.
