I have been in the care of Dr. Mata for many years for med management and pysch. She really listens to your needs, prescribes appropriately and monitors how the meds are working. She suggests vitamins and homeopathic supplements to compliment a prescription, not add another drug. She is friendly, a real person, spends an hour with - you are never in & out. Sometimes she speaks quickly & because of her accent and I may ask say that again & she doesn't mind.

This doctor is totally unprofessional. I have OCD and need to have things repeated at times, especially details about my medication. She screams at me and has no patience. Dr. Mata seems to be angry and her behavior is unstable.

Terrible bedside manner. I find her very demeaning and frankly ...quite rude. My daughter and myself were referred to her for anxiety, depression. Then we get a diagnosis of bipolar 2. Put daughter on meds, which did no good, then stated she would not see her anymore as she would not speak to dr. She scared her. Now what?

My family was given bad advice by Dr Mata . At age 23 she treated me like an older man who couldn't make it on his own. Her haldol med she prescribed work and given her credit for that and only that. I overcame my Illness on my own. She seemed a bit uncaring and actually seemed to enjoy taunting me about my situation . Never had any problems dealing with life situations after that and am head strong and have been many years with no thanks for Dr. Mata....

If you are looking for a compassionate doctor, keep looking, this doctor couldn't care less. She only cares about the money, not the patient. I wish I had seen this a long time ago, too little..toolate.

I had seen this doctor when I was 14 years old. She was completely unprofessional. Asked me personal sexual questions that were irrelevant to the sitaution and screamed at my mother. She also put me on a medication dosage that was extremely high for a teenage and EVEN for an adult. I suggest you do not take your child here.
