Dr. Zerline Evelyn Chambers-Kersey, MD

Dr. Chambers was highly recommended to me. I googled her and called requesting a same day appointment as I was in extreme pain and my doctor is located in Missouri. When I arrived I forgot my insurance card as I was rushing to get there before her next appointment. The entire time I waited she reminded me of how she normally doesn't do this. Finally my information is faxed in and we go to her office. No exam or anything just Q&A. She then prescribed me an antibiotic!?! I took the meds and got worse. Rushed to the ER. Both the dr there and my new gyn were completely confused on why she would prescribe this to me whe. It doesn't fit NONE of my symptoms nor was an exam done. Long story short I called her to talk about my ER visit and she pretended not to be the woman on the phone and hung up. I called right back thinking it may have been an accident and took full responsibility and her nurse answered. She was very sincere and told me that Dr. Chambers would call me back. Needless to say… no returned call, follow up or anything. The ER and my new gyn put me on bed rest for a week. That's how serious my situation was and how nonchalant Dr. Chambers was towards me. I admit her heart was in the right place, to bad her attitude and actions were not. Her staff was amazing.

Dr. Chambers made me feel like a family member. Her office is small but clean and her staff is like family. I felt very comfortable and as if she cared about my health.

Too Rough,makes me feel like she hates me.

Dr. Chambers is the best doctor I have ever seen. She is easy to talk to and I have complete faith in what she tells me to be the truth. Her office staff is also the best I have ever seen.

I love Dr. Chambers. She is funny and compassionate. I have been going to her for several years.

I have been seeing Dr. Chambers since 2003 and love her and Maryanne. Dr. Chamber deliver both my daughters.

I am pregnant with my first child, so naturally I have concerns with what's going on with my body. My pregnancy has not been easy, from severe nausea to horrible constipation, I made the mistake of calling her emergency line after I had not made a bowel movement in a week and didn't know if I should go to the emergency room. I tried telling her that I tried everything she listed on the little packet for me and nothing worked, she then began to lecture me on the phone like I was 5 years old for a long 7 minutes while I sat there speechless on how inappropriate it is that I called that number and that "she doesn't deal with poop" and "it's so rude that you call me over this, you don't know what kind of weekend I've had, you know not to call me over constipation." She made me feel like the worlds worse patient for being as concerned as I was. A few weeks before this happened I got the first huge lecture because I DIDNT call the emergency line and I had to sign a paper that basically said… this is why I need to call the emergency number, yet if you call it expect to get lectured and yelled at. I'm switching doctors as we speak and I highly recommend that you DO NOT go to her if you are pregnant for the first time, she DOES NOT have time for you and all of your concerns are just annoying to her and she will let that be known.

Dr. Chambers is a great doctor BUT she will charge you extra if ask "too many questions". I had called to ask how much I had to pay for an appointment and they charged me $26 more because I "spent more time with the doctor". As a patient I would never want to have to feel concerned about the amount of questions I am asking and how it's running up my bill. Ridiculous! As for the staff, the receptionist is off and a little rude. I arrived a few minutes late and everyone made me feel so rushed and insignificant because the doctor had another patient to attend to. That's not fair especially when they overcharged me. No recommendations for this practice.
