Dr. Zev Lagstein, MD

He told me I have LVH but couldn't explain why I had it and kept saying it was weird because I'm young and I don't have high blood pressure. When I asked him if it could be hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (looked it up from the description he explained instead of telling me his 'diagnosis') he basically laughed in my face and said I was young and that he will check my heart in 6 months, but to exercise more. I don't know if he needs a reminder but hypertrophic cardiomyopathy can cause LVH without the high blood pressure and is the leading cause of death in young athletes.. like me. I also had someone in my family die suddenly from playing basketball. I will not be going back here. Thanks for walking out of my face without reassuring me or saying goodbye. He also didn't care to check any of my valves to see if i have aortic stenosis (echo is empty!) .. 2 conditions can cause LVH. The ladies in the office and in the back are very pleasant and I respect them highly. No complaints whatsoever… with them

Dr. Zev Lagstein is a fine doctor whom I am very confident in. I have been his patient for 14 years and have found him to be very thorough in diagnosing my medical problems. He insures that appropriate tests are administered in a timely fashion and takes the time to explain the tests and results, medications administered, and expectations. His greatest assets are his knowledge concern for his patients. I have only heard positive comments about Dr. Lagstein from other patients while waiting to be seen. I highly recommend his services a Cardiologist and Internist.
