Dr. Zhaoming Chen, MD

I have been to this office several times and have always had a problem with the brusque and cavalier attitude of Mary who is one of the receptionists. Most recently I asked Mary to ask Dr. Chen to add an addendum to an MRI which was already ordered by another doctor so I would not have to get 2 MRIs. Mary said she would return my call the next day. I ended up calling the office a week later asking her why I did not hear from her or Dr. Chen and that My MRI was in 2 days. She said she forgot and it would be difficult to reach Dr. Chen now and have him review my chart to see if he would be able to do what I requested. Because of Dr. Chen and Mary's poor patient relation skills, I ended up getting 2 brain MRIs with contrast. The radiologist said to me that all the neurologist had to do was write a note saying that the patient had MS and we would have done a different protocol and you would have only needed one. SO, the insurance company had to pay TWICE and I had to suffer TWICE for 2… people's incompetence. By the way, this is not the first time that Mary has been unprofessional in her behavior. Several times I requested to speak with the office manager because of her rudeness on the phone and in person at the office. The doctors should wake up and realize that it is their office staff that also reflects poorly upon them.
