Zhigang Liu, MD

Dr. Zhigang Liu is a cardiovascular disease specialist who focuses on heart rhythm disorders and electrophysiology. They completed medical school at Wayne State University and has accumulated 21 years of clinical experience. Dr. Liu pursued specialized fellowship training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in 2018, followed by additional fellowship training at the University of Michigan Health System in 2020. They also completed residency training at Medstar Harbor Medical Center in 2015 and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2018. Dr. Liu is fluent in both Chinese and English.

Dr. Liu practices at the Beacon Kalamazoo Heart Institute in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They specialize in treating complex heart rhythm conditions including atrial fibrillation and supraventricular tachycardia. Dr. Liu also addresses pacemaker complications and performs electrophysiology procedures to diagnose and treat electrical problems in the heart.
