Dr. Zhongzhen Li, MD

Dr.Li is a nice overall person but she is not a good doctor. She is constantly running behind, but its defiantly not because she is spending extra time with a patient. She is the only doctor that I have ever come across that makes me wait 35 minutes for my physical - but then my physical itself was under 10 minutes. She said I was "chunky" but young and healthy. I tried to discuss mental health issues, yet she just referred me. I thought internal medicine was to treat all but I guess she only believes in referring people to specialist.

If you are over 45 do not go to Dr Li. She has little understanding or compassion for aging. She rarely makes eye contact. She keeps her head down and in the computer for most of the visit. You will get the facts— but with zero compassion or interest in how you feel emotionally. Shameful!

She loves blood test but that is all she ever does, order blood test. I was really uncomfortable with her skill set and mannerism. She has some really out of the mainstream beliefs about healthcare. I finally had to find a new Dr. I really only used her to send referrals to real Drs when I needed treatment. After 4 years you would think she would have some sense of me as a patient. I have chronic health issue and she never appears to recall that ever single visit. Just not a good Dr. She is nice enough so I gave her 2 stars.

Dr.Li is an excellent doctor. She is thorough, clear with diagnosis, remedy and listens well. She asks good questions. A specialist doctor told me Dr. Li was doing a great job with my care and I whole heartedly agree. L.Rouleau

Heard terrible things before my 1st visit. Except for the wait time in the examination room (25 minutes), I was pleasantly surprised. She listened, went through my entire history from family medical issues to my medical issues. I am a fairly healthy older person, Type 2 Diabetes, a few other issues but certainly nothing too serious. She seemed pleasant about listening. I gave her a chance and it wasn't bad. I spoke about how busy she must be and we talked some about that. I'll give her a try and see what happens.

I was referred to Li by my previous physician's staff as my doctor was retiring. Her staff said she was taking on new patients so I set my next appointment so I could meet with her. About 2 weeks later, my husband called the office to get a prescription refilled only to find out she refuses to fill any medication that falls under controlled substance. My husband asked about medications I take for clinical depression, to which Li's staff said she would not prescribe or fill a prescription that is considered controlled (even though I have been on the same medication for over 6 years). I figured I would wait to meet with her thinking maybe she would not prescribe medications until she sees the patient (understandable). Then a few weeks later, her staff called and said that Li "overbooked" the number of patients and my husband and I needed to find someone else. Although I have not met her, I felt mistreated and she obviously did not want to be bothered. I think the "specializes in… Internal Medicine", should be removed from her profile, as she doesn't seem like any doctor I have ever had to deal with.

It is unfortunate to have been a patient with McGrath Medical Group and then to have been treated with such incompetence and lack of genuine. It makes one wonder if she has been censured at some point for prescription violations. Apparently she is capable of determining good and bad patients just by name and not by trying to treat them. Dr Li has to go down as one of the poorest judges of character, poor planning skills and outright rudeness to some of McGrath Medical Groups most loyal patients. It is a sad state when a doctor has gone past judging preconditions and moved straight into cherry picking her clientele.

This doctor has been nothing but detrimental to the health and wellbeing of my mother, a patient of hers. My mother suffered a severe stroke a year and a half ago leaving her wheelchair bound with left side semi-paralysis. Upon her visit the other day, she insulted my mother to the point of tears. She refuses to listen. Insinuates she is abusing medication. Refuses to sign documentation for my mother to receive physical therapy. She verbally degrades my mother with her "list of issues" that are irrelevant at her physical and tells her she (the dr) is overwhelmed, too busy and has other patients waiting. This woman should not be in practice!

She’s mostly nice, but doesn’t know anything about mental health and will express that you AND your psychiatrist don’t know what you’re doing. Our first visit she saw I take a small dose of anti-anxiety med as needed as said “you need to be stronger. You shouldn’t take meds for anxiety” Staff is very nice. Doctor is a bit of a judgmental ignorant person.

The most horrible experience I have ever had with a doctor. Does not listen to you , won’t give me my meds that my previous doctor has had me on for years , says they aren’t on my med list. Tells me I don’t have medical conditions that I do have because she can’t see them on the computer. No matter what I say she makes me feel like I’m a liar. I will not have a doctor now because I won’t see her anymore and no others are taking patients. I feel she is a danger to my health . I have never been more frustrated , she just will not listen to you or believe you.
