Dr. Ziad Amr is a highly skilled, fellowship trained General and Bariatric surgeon in the Houston and Cypress area. Through completing his general surgery residency training from 2002 through 2007 at the Methodist Hospital at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, Dr. Amr gained extensive experience in general surgery procedures. Dr. Amr is trained in laparoscopic foregut surgery and bariatric (weight loss) surgery. His surgical interests include laparoscopic surgical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, treatment of inguinal and incisional hernias, and gallbladder disease. He also preforms single incision Robotic surgery.

Doctor Ziad perfmormed surgery on my three hernias two weeks ago. He's an amazing surgeon and very knowledgeable. After I meet him I knew he was the doctor for me he's so caring for sure I'll recommend him.

I definitely recommend Dr. Amr! I made three ER trips in one week and was dying from pain. On the last ER visit, Dr. Amr got me in last minute and scheduled surgery for me to get my gallbladder out the same night. He was super nice and I felt like I was in good hands. He didn’t even cut my tattoo when making my incisions! Thank you for helping me feel better!!!

I would suggest Dr. Amr to anyone needing surget in the Cypress area. He is has great patience and takes the time to listen to you. He saved my husbands life by removing a large mass from his cecum. We need more doctors like Dr. Amr and his staff.

Dr. AMR, was very thorough. He answered all my questions and prepared me for my gallbladder surgery. There were no surprises in regards to payment/ insurance coverage. Everything went smoothly. He has skilled hands that hardly left any marks on my belly. It’s only been two weeks! I am feeling back to normal. I truly appreciate his honesty and bedside manners. God bless you Dr. AMR. Thanks for the good news on the pathology report.

My only issues had nothing to do with the surgery at all. My negative is that I don 't feel he and his staff informed me of all the things I needed to know or all the benefits they offer. That said, the answer every question and don't make you feel rushed about it. They're friendly and warm and eager for you to succeed. The rest, he's an OUTSTANDING surgeon. I'm a difficult case, much older than most patients. He made it so my risk approached zero. I'm healing very well and living with my changes quite contentedly.

This is one of nicest doctors I have met. Unfortunately I met him while being hospitalized and needed surgery. He came in many times during my stay and even came in on a Sunday to operate on me. I would highly recommend him to everyone and would only use him if I ever needed surgery again.

Dr Amr really cares about his patients. I was in bad shape and he was able to help me with getting my life back from being severly obiese.
