Dr. Zorayda Jajurie Torres, MD

Dr. Torres has helped me manage my chronic condition. She has the experience and insight to diagnose root causes of most diseases and the knowledge to help her patients either cure their condition or at least relieve some or most of the symptoms. She has improved my quality of life tremendously and therefore deserves top ratings.

I seen Doctor Torres for a few years. She would listen to me and actually cares about her patients. She is an excellent doctor. She is now more into natural medicine, which I believe she made a good move. She wants to heal, not medicate.

I decided to try a functional medicine physician thinking the "whole/functional" approach would serve me better...now I know better. Functional Medicine is just another marketing spin...buyer beware! I spent three figures on supplements Dr. Torres sells. I requested organic or vegan supplements, but Dr. Torres doesn't sell any and didn't know of any, so unfortunately, I acquiesced and in the end her supplements hurt my stomach worse than when I first came in with the issue. In addition, Dr. Torres had me do a lot of tests, but when the hormone test came back I asked about some specifics about the test and she didn't know how to respond and tried to hide her ignorance by showing me a picture in one of her notebooks and brushed it off saying something to the effect it wasn't important, yet I've always sensed a hormone imbalance was one of my major problems. On top of that, as my stomach started to bother me worse than when I started with Dr. Torres (something I was concerned about and… mentioned to Dr. Torres at the outset noting my belly doesn't do well with capsules) I sent an email trying to find out whether I could stop all supplements at once or was there another alternative. Dr. Torres wouldn't call me back or respond to my email...after waiting several days, I was told she had been out of the office on a long weekend and had been busy with one of her children's school projects and couldn't get back to me. I came to the conclusion Dr. Torres doesn't have the knowledge, nor work ethic I want in a physician I want to trust completely with my health. I will never give my power away to a doctor again!

It is clear Dr. is familiar with the file when she enters the room, takes time to explain problems and solutions and is meticulous about follow-up.

Dr Torres is personable and caring in her bedside manner. Her staff has been some of the most pleasant people to work. They remember me by name and have a positive energy about them.

Fine for women, but missed taking a yearly PSA test on my husband - result, he got prostate cancer which, because found late, is inoperable and had spread to bone and lymph nodes.
