Dr. Zozan Ali Al Saadi, MD

As a new patient I find her to be quite good. She's easy to talk to and is very efficient. I read reviews that didn't g give very good ratings which almost affected my decision. I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews as she is very different in my experience at this time. I just think she's smart ,caring and absolutely lovely.

After a year I can say Dr. Saadi is the best primary I’ve ever had. I’m a senior athlete with unique needs related to my age and activity level. It’s difficult finding a doctor who understands, is an amateur athlete herself, and spends the time to answer my questions and work with me on a health maintenance plan. I no longer have to take blood pressure meds and have been able to reduce colestrol meds by 50%. I have experience in non-profit health care delivery and highly recommend this experienced professional.

My mom has been Dr Al Saadi for quite a few years now. She is a great listener, always professional & a genuinely a good caring doctor!

I've read all previous comments on this site and was utterly shocked. This is not the same Dr. Zozan A Al Saaidi that I visited this week. She was attentive, asked pertinent questions and gave me a thorough exam. I am a new patient so lets see how my upcoming appointments go.

It's hard to believe these people are talking about the same doctor! She was quite different with me... Always a smile, pleasant greeting, like she was honestly glad to see me. She was firm with me about keeping appointments for tests, (which I honestly goofed up on several times), stressing the importance of finding out what I need to be well. Dr. Al Saadi always spoke in a normal tone of voice, was very knowledgeable about all my ailments, kept a good record of all setbacks, improvements, - always kept up on my latest developments before she came in the examination room. She always explained everything in great detail to me, always answered any questions I had. Who wouldn't want a doctor like that?

Avoid this woman like the plague, which, by the way, she wouldn't be able to diagnose accurately anyway. She treats her geriatric patients with blanket diagnoses and treatment, allowing no differences for the individuality of the patient. She seems to think all elderly patients are deaf, because she is yelling at them instead of talking at an appropriate level. She is not willing to discuss any other options or alternatives the patient is interested in exploring. She is a very good example of the arrogant and indifferent physician we all encounter sooner or later. My mother received very poor care from her.

I witnessed this doctor interacting with my 84-year-old mother, who is sane, intelligent (having worked as an RN), and not deaf. Al Saadi SPOKE VERY LOUDLY and addressed my mother as "dearie". Told my mother was not deaf, Al Saadi replied, "I'm not yelling, I'm trying to make her understand." Condescending, arrogant, overbearing, cold, imperious, autocratic don't even begin to describe it. She refused to prescribe Valium for a muscle spasm or sedatives for insomnia, saying only "I don't do that". Al Saadi cross-examined my mother about the muscle spasm (had she fallen? had she slept funny?) and when told this problem had recurred since 1976, snapped, "I know that." All of this was delivered VERY LOUDLY AS IF SHE CONSIDERS HER PATIENTS TO BE BOTH DEAF AND STUPID. She glared at me repeatedly and never smiled once in the whole visit. Al Saadi was so completely rude and unpleasant that I can't believe she is making a career out of working with people. She should not be allowed around… children, old people, or anyone vulnerable, such as a sick person.

I filed a formal complaint about Dr. Al Saadi with my health insurance company. I arrived for my annual physical and she refused to see me saying I never did some lab work she "ordered" about 6 mos. ago. She said (through her office staff) that I'd need to do that first, then she'd see me. I replied, that's not how it works. I see the Dr., then according to my specific, individual needs at that visit, lab work can be ordered. I called my insurance company in order to tell them I wanted to choose a new PCP and I explained what happened at the office and the representative agreed that this was not right and it's not how they want patients to be treated. Those were her words. So, the insurance rep took my statement and the doctor's office will be informed, etc., etc. I am stating the facts and not offering my opinions, because the facts say it all.

This doctorâ??s strength does not lie in her ability to create rapport nor does it lie in the area of problem- solving, using insight, or trouble-shooting complicated medical issues. She simply follows basic medical protocol, orders tests, shares results and does little else to actually help. She is very resistant to referring to specialists which concerns me greatly . I am concerned about her motivation. Are the tests in my best interest or is this defensive medicine? Is her resistance to referring to specialists due to self-interest (profit-driven)? She seems to have a lack of interest in actually improving my medical condition and seems to think as long as she follows protocol, she has done her job. She has not helped me medically and her lack of empathy or concern has actually left me feeling worse each time Iâ??ve seen her. I would never suggest her to anyone, but especially not to someone who is elderly, weak, sick, or has complex medical issues because she does not allow… dialogue, openly discuss treatment choices or attempt to create relationship with me. It is always her way or the highway. At least I have that choice and I believe I will take the highway to a more caring and helpful physician. She is clearly very intelligent, but lacks critical components that make a physician a true healer. If you are looking for a doctor who can serve as a team player to help you improve your health, I suggest you look elsewhere.
