She’s rude and always cuts you off when trying to ask her a question. Will be looking for a new Dr.

She is very impatient. You get maybe 5 minutes of your 15 minute appointment. She tells you that she will remove your thyroid within so many months- this is not a discussion that you have with her, rather a directive that she delivers to you. Her nurse is the most incredibly rude nurse I have ever encountered. Stay away!!

Dr. Hamid has been a great doctor, I been seeing her for 3 years. I don't understand some comments, she is always nice and on time and values my time.

Dr. Hamid was 45 minutes late to my appointment (which I had to be there an hour early for). She told me that the reactions I had to synthroid and levothyroxine in previous years were made up and not real reactions to the medications. She scoffed at me when I told her I’d prefer to stay with a naturally desiccated thyroid medication and told me that NDTs were bad for me and for my unborn baby. She also made it clear that she didn’t believe that following a certain diet would make a difference in my thyroid function. She also refused to run any other labs than TSH, which has been proven to be unreliable and inaccurate- not to mention TSH is suppressed with NDT. I asked her to please run a full thyroid panel so that we would have a baseline for treatment to which she responded, “I only need your TSH. Nothing else is important with your thyroid” Horrible bedside manner. Very rude and condescending. Will not return.

My sister and I accompanied my 89 year old mother today to see Dr. Hamid and found her to be very professional and thorough. She took time to explain the tests and procedures she performed. I would highly recommend her to family and friends.

first appointment rate fair, second appointment poor. did not have the time or willingness to answer my list of questions and practically 'pushed' me out the door. when asked about her anxiety/antidepressant med interacting with thyroid med she was brushed off and told she did not treat that and to go ask her m.d. the whole point of making appointment with the endo was to get her levels determined in regard to thyroid medication, get an understanding of the hashiomoto's, how to deal with these issues as well as get a better understanding with the diagnosis of pre-diabetes along with the hashiomoto's and medications interacting with the thyroid meds. also wanted a better understanding of a better diet plan. nothing was accomplished and the apppointment is not cheap by any means and did not expect it to be but we sure did not get our moneys' worth and will not be making another appointment. understand you have to see a quota of patients per day but at least spend some time with… the patient you are seeing and explain and understand that they are nervous and want answers to better their lives.

I have read some of the adverse reviews posted about Dr. Hamid. Surely there must be two different doctors going by the same name???? The Dr. Zulekha Hamid who has treated me for several years, for thyroid cancer and follow up monitoring, definitely is not the person described in the negative reviews. I have found her personable, patient, concerned for my health and attitude, kind and considerate, and willing to answer all questions. In my opinion, she is an extremely capable and competent doctor and I definitely recommend her to other patients..

Had uncontrollable blood pressure and electrolyte imbalance. Dr Hamid got them under control. Thought I was going to have a stroke. I am so grateful to her.

Dr. Hamid's bedside manner is the worst I've ever experienced. She does not listen to patient concerns and cuts the patient off when they ask questions. I would not recommend her to anyone.
