I had some tests run by GI Specialist . The Gastroenterologist reviewed my test results at 12 noon, although No one gave me my test results until 6 pm. My wife had asked several different people regarding this, including the nurse, n/a...Then approximately 6pm the nurse came in and said they were going to be discharging me. We asked what the results were with the capsule test. And when was the specialist who performed the procedure going to come in and give us the results. The Rn said the specialist was in the OR and wouldn't be able to give us the results. I feel that the GI Specialist should give the results of the tests that they ran...The nursing staff was generally friendly and efficient, although on the day of my discharge the nursing staff was short staffed and they were asked to stay extra hrs, and I do not think that they were very Happy about that. Otherwise my stay was very good.

Disappointing facility

I have had an occasion to be admitted twice and I can guarantee there will NOT be a third. The Emergency room is a sad joke. Don’t go there unless you have 4-9 hours to sit in the waiting area. This is not because of the pandemic. It is pretty bad that so many patients want to score them a minus. When will they take it seriously and really take a look at how they could improve their facility. I have deep concern for anyone that goes there. I lost an awesome oncologist and oncology surgeon because I will NEVER go to Vidant hospital again. Not will any of my family. Vidant deserves nothing better than an F grade.

Nurses needs more training on how to treat and respect patients. Some of them needs to find another professional to work for due their attitude.

do not recommend

I was in Vidant Greenville for back surgery the last week in October--2020--I was running a fever of 102 when I was pushed out the door and sent home. I had to be picked up 5 days later by rescue and transported to a different hospital. I was running a fever of 104 and had pneumonia in both lungs. Vidant hospital does not have enough nurses to take care of their patients. They will let you die! I do not advise you to ever go to this hospital!
