Me: *pulls up chart* Primary payer: Ohio Medicaid "Actually ma'am, it appears my coworkers and I are paying for your relative to be here" Family member: "my dad wanted a Pepsi and you just stood there for 20 minutes doing cpr. UNACCEPTABLE. *Leave review here saying nurse sucks*

ER nurse rude and lazy

Called to get information about relative who Liam Poa of and this lazy, rude, "nurse" refused to help me. My relative came from a nursing home and is on a cpap setting on the vent at night but he can mouth words or write them. Many of the nurses will ask him if they can share information about him with me and he gives consent. She said she was busy and did not care about my feelings or worries, that I would have to wait for visiting hours 12 hours later if I wanted information. So a spouse has to sit and worry how their loved one is doing because its not visiting hours in the er. It's very stressful not knowing and unable to vist;she said she didn't care about my feelings and she wasn't going to argue with me . I didn't. Her name was BRITTANY and I shudder to think of her taking care of my loved one with that attitude. Other hospitals give out a COde so that family can get info over the phone due to Covid.. I intend to contact the patient representatives about this terrible, smart mouthed nurse. My relative pays her salary and she has no right to treat his loved ones as nuisances that should now to her. The Hippa rule is just a crap out so they don't have to be bothered. They get a break with limited visiting and now they refuse phone calls. Other hospitals find ways to help families get information, why can't this one?If you can't or don't want to deal with families, don't work in an E.R where anxieties run high. The last time my family member was in he still had the ambulance sheets rolled up under him, he was slumped down on the cart. This after being there a day and a half! The floor nurses have been great but the ER Nurses like Brittany have bad attitudes.

May 2017 admitted to be transferred to Cleveland clinic, was the worse hospital experience in my life! The afternoon aide and nurse manager on my floor was the worse I have ever come across and I've spent a lot of time in this hospital!
