Outstanding Medical Health Professionals and Hospital

It gives me great pleasure to write about my experience with the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton MA. I was hospitalized for video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) due to suspicious lung nodules last year. This procedure was performed by Dr. Abraham Lebenthal, a brilliant surgeon. He and his nurse practitioner, Diedre, were the most knowledgeable and compassionate medical professionals I've ever met. During my hospitalization of 4 days, both Dr. Lebenthal and/or his associate Dr. Brian Whang, also a brilliant surgeon, visited me every day to ensure I was "on the mend" and comfortable since I had a right middle lobectomy to remove the cancer found by biopsy. The decision to remove part of my lung saved my life. Everyone tells me that "I dogged a bullet", but I think that if it wasn't for Dr. Lebenthal, Dr. Whang , and Diedre, through their surgical skill, expertise, kindness, compassion, and general caring of their patient, I wouldn't be here today (1 year later). Also, the Good Samaritan Medical Center; their nurses, aides, food and cleaning staff were the best. I can't thank everyone enough for making my surgery, hospital stay, and recovery a positive experience with a miraculous result. I also thank & owe my life to Dr. Karen Allard, my caring primary care physician, who ordered the screening for lung cancer with low dose computed tomography (recommended for current or former smokers) which found the suspicious lung nodules to begin with. This test was a life changer. I'm alive and kicking 1 year later with no evidence of disease. Thanks Everyone!!.
