Horrible care! Nightmare to day the least, I was impatient and have submitted a previous review but I forgot to tell people the physician discontinued a narcotic medication early am and it was given multiple times after it wasn’t supposed to be given, and the answer from physician of “WHY”, doctor says “I don’t know “ !!! Could have been overdosed by nurse easily!!

I went to ER and was admitted, I was on floor in my room for 5 hours before the nurse “found” me. They laughed about it !! From that point on it was a fiasco ! The physicians on staff are rude and knowledge of medicine remains unclear ! I had a blood pressure of 83/47 and no care for other than fluids. My family had to call and demand specialist to see me while inpatient! The specialist could not find any referral when my mother called but, the doctor said it was put in early am ! No it was not, the specialist called the attending and told them my mother requested them , so my mom practically had to oversee my care because of negligent physicians and nurses. The nurses gave multiple incorrect results for 4 days to my mother. Oh and by the way, The lab does not work on weekends in case anyone needs to know ! So don’t except lab results on weekends! They discharged me when there was a complaint initiated so I am going to another hospital because I am STILL sick ! I would not recommend taking a animal there much less a loved family member ! The rating tells it all..if there was a ( - ) rating I’m sure it would ( - ) 100 !! Please don’t go there if you need medical care
Run away..ptsd

Gets a 1 star although should be a zero. Absolutely the worst experience of my life in any medical facility. Refused a patient advocate. Was not allowed to contact family members, friends. Patient fall which was not documented although they had video. OSHA violation. Did not contact my doctors. Did not administer any medications. HIPAA violation?? Nurses did not follow protocols or industry standards.
Absolutely worst hospital experience and patient rights were not respected.

Was taken there with extreme depression after losing step mom in April, my dad stopped eating and died 5 weeks later. Then lost grandson/son by suicide 2 months later. It is a patient's right to have an advocate and they refused to give me one. I was not allowed to contact a family member or friend. My sister called and they refused to let her talk to me. Cold turkey on all medications. Had anxiety and panic attack and nurses just sat at their station and ignored my request. The very least they could have done was call their physician and ask for an antianxiety med. I have an excellent support system here. They never contacted any of my doctors (who I had an appointment with the day before admission and we had discussed an outpatient day plan and a change in medications). I ended up being shackled, handcuffed and taken 4 hours away to state geriatric hospital. PTSD from that experience. Mark my words if I'm having a heart attack I will get in my car and drive to a sentara hospital.

Saleesha the nurse in the ER who took care of us on 12/5/2020 was the most AMAZING caring person. He kindness to us was above the 5 star rating. The PA Coleen took excellant care of us also. She explained everything to us so in our time of stress we would understand.
