Nightmare visit

Be very very careful what you tell their nurses because they are very good at interpreting things differently then you ment them to be. Like I can't take this pain any longer to a nurse can mean you want to hurt your self and to protect you from hurting yourself they can and will let 4 big security men (I'm 62 and disabled) and 5 nurses hurt you instead but it's all good to them they did their job and prevented a self injury that was never going to happen. Afterward all the people involved will get together (right in front of you while you are tired down with locking manacles (and figure out their stories while you listen). Later they will do what they call a "robust investigation" after you complain then you will get a letter saying what our employees told us doesn't agree with what you told us and we believe them. I was basically called a lier by patient relations and risk management, I'm disabled and have stage 4 cancer, 2 1/2 months later I still have issues that are not going away that negatively affect my life. The nightmares alone have turned me into a wreck. I WILL NEVER TRUST A NURSE AGAIN.

horrible 3 days .

The african american nurses that took care of me in the E,R and later my floor, i feel they purposely missed on my I,V and were very ruff and made the experience very painful for me. I have a medical back ground and i know how things should have been done. i was with held from my medication, i was made to not eat for a day for a stress test which i confirmed with the tech doing the test that i could of have had a light breakfast. i was denied food all night and morning until late afternoon, by the being a diabetic i was vometing up yellow bile and dry heaves, i was never so happy to get my heart cath the next day and go home, The nurses in the heart Cath area were professional and kind, I do believe i was treated treated racially and it upset me so much because i knew what was happening and i was going to go home just so i could get my meds, i will not return to your facility, next time i could die,

Alarms in ER

Close the door and let them echo in the rooms, high pitched, for 15 minutes only to go off again and again within a minute of turning them off! If they don’t matter and are monitored at the nurses station, what is the point of the eardrum piercing echo of the alarms in the individual room for 12 hours straight?

Covid 19 arbitrary rules

You are allowed to go in with family members now(one person) in ER. You can stay awake all night in their uncomfortable chairs but if you want a cup of coffee in the morning because you cannot rest all night they won’t let you back in.

ER is freezing and the so called blankets are bed sheets. Worst 7+ hours spent in any ER in the area!

Most uncomfortable ER

ER is freezing and it took 5 hours to get a blanket for the patient. Family gets to sit on hard plastic chairs all night waiting for the qualified staff to show up to draw blood for tests. There is absolutely no concern for comfort in the ER.!

Dedicated, skilled CoVID Care!

My husband has been at Providence Park for 5 days w/ CoVID. He has received excellent care including Hydroxychloroquine, the recently approved treatment, from day one. The health care professionals at Providence Park have been highly communicative with the family and have provided excellent care for the patient. Thank you ALL!

Never again

My son had surgery yesterday. Our doctor, pre-OP and post-OP staff was amazing! Our experience didnt take a turn for the worst until we moved to a room for an overnight stay. We live 2 hours away and with the way the weather is today we should of never been bullied to leave. The nursing staff continously kept coming in my son's room making us feel like we should leave in the winter storm. After 5 hours of being bullied I decided to leave because I was tired of them coming in making me feel like staying was wrong to do even when we had orders from the doctor to stay. As soon as I left and got on the road I was so angry that I allowed them to make me feel the way I did because I barely made it down the street before deciding to pull over and have to pay to stay at a hotel because traveling home was not safe. So not only did I have to pay for hospital stay but I had to pay for a hotel stay to make sure my son and I were safe instead of putting us in danger to go home. And yes the staff knew we didnt live nearby I told each one of them that came in. I will never ever return for a procedure nor will I recommend anyone to get a procedure done there. It's a shame because I love the Ascension near our home.
