Dr. Christopher Hoskin, OD

Christopher Hoskin, OD, is a dedicated optometrist with over 20 years of experience in the field, proudly serving the community through his practice, Optica Familiar & Family Eyecare at Plaza Fiesta, which he founded and has successfully operated for over 14 years. A Southern Illinois native, Christopher graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1994, followed by earning his Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, in 1998. He is board certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, specializing in the treatment and management of ocular diseases. His commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by his leadership roles as class president and representative of the Omega Delta professional fraternity, as well as his membership in the Golden Key International Academic Honour Society.

In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Hoskin is deeply …committed to community service and volunteerism. He has dedicated over a decade to supporting Binational Health Week at the Mexican Consulate in Atlanta, GA, and has participated in the Gift of Sight program in the Lakota Sioux territories of North Dakota. A long-standing member of the Georgia Optometric Association, he is also CPR certified and has led multiple mission trips to Costa Rica, collaborating with Student Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity and Lion's Clubs International to provide essential eye care and glasses to underserved families. Outside of his professional and volunteer work, Christopher enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, as well as indulging in skiing, fishing, and watching scary movies with their Boston Terrier, Captain.
