Dr. Aliya Hot, OD

Dr. Aliya Hot is a distinguished optometrist whose passion for vision health shines through every patient interaction. A dual-degree graduate of SUNY College of Optometry in 2007—with both a Doctor of Optometry and a Master’s in Glaucoma Diagnosis and Visual Fields—she brings a rare blend of academic rigor and hands-on expertise to her practice. Before earning her degrees, Dr. Hot spent over a decade working one-on-one with children with special needs, honing her ability to deliver patient-focused, compassionate care even in complex cases.

Since graduation, Dr. Hot has served New York City families across multiple boroughs. She honed her pediatric skills in Corona, Queens, then joined a busy Brooklyn optical store in 2010, caring for a patient population predisposed to glaucoma and dry eye syndromes. In 2013, she launched her own clinic in East Harlem, followed by a second location in the Bronx in 2015, earning a reputation as the go-to eye care specialist for diverse ethnic and …socialcommunities throughout the city.

Drawing on her unique blend of pediatric, glaucoma, and dry eye expertise, Dr. Hot offers comprehensive, personalized care that spans all ages. Patients appreciate her gentle, efficient pediatric exams and her confidence in diagnosing and managing glaucoma without outside referrals.
