Dr. Ketan Kutlerywala (called Dr. K by most patients) was born and raised in Calgary, Canada. While working on a double major in Biology and Psychology he fulfilled a dream that began at age 11 to become an Optometrist by gaining admission into the Inter-American University School of Optometry in Puerto Rico. While in school he developed a passion for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various eye diseases such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and Dry Eye Disease. He was the youngest graduate in the class in 2004 and was the recipient of clinical awards (and scholarships) in contact lens excellence in both hard and soft contact lenses.
Dr. K is board certified in both Canada and in the United States - he has practiced in Calgary (Canada), Dallas Texas, and within the Tri-State area. With his vast experience in different clinical settings such as surgical centers to private practice, Dr. K can also perform eye exams in Spanish or Gujarati. In addition, …he has developed a passion for charitable work that has included participating in the OneSight program annually and other charitable organizations. In his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
