Summary
Sharon Peterson, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1984 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in 1982. Growing up, Dr. Peterson wanted to become a teacher and work with students who have visual impairments. By the age of 12, she even learned how to read braille and took this talent with her to college, where she helped students translate their papers for grading. This passion inspired Dr. Peterson to pursue a career in optometry and help others. In her free time, Dr. Peterson enjoys all things health and fitness. She loves healthy cooking, nature, gardening, and exercising – especially ballroom dancing.
