THIS IS THE ROLLS ROYCE OF EYE DOCTORS. IT IS THE MOST IMPRESSIVE EYE DOCTOR I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED AND I AM NOT EASILY IMPRESSED. WHAT A PLEASURE, THEY HAD A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR. I AM A NERD AND THEIR EDUCATION ON THE HUMAN EYE WAS LIKE TAKING A COLLEGE COURSE THEY REALLY MADE YOU REALIZE THAT THE EYE IS THE MIRROR OF YOUR HEALTH. DO YOUR EYES A FAVOR GET THEM THAT ROLLS ROYCE.

I really wanted to like this place as the reviews show very positive, but unfortunately, that wasn't the end experience I had. I went in for a yearly eye exam with my new insurance and the doctor and experience were great, lengthy but thorough. I made it very clear at the beginning that I didn't really require all that much and that is more of a check up on my existing astigmatism to see if I needed to update my pair of glasses. The exam process took around an hour and 20 minutes and when I was done I was told they could make a slight modification to glasses which would give me a sharper read. So, off you go to the frames section where you're greeted with someone who has all the information on what it will cost and how they can upsell you, etc. We chatted for a bit and browsed some additional frames but ultimately I decided to stick with my own frames and just replace the lenses. This was going to cost $400 to add the progressive lenses with the slight prescription change… and my cost with insurance was $90. Not a bad deal for just lenses on my frames, so let's do this. It would take 2 weeks and I would have an updated pair of glasses and have 4K vision, as I would rate my existing vision in frames at 1080P, so not a big difference. I was surprised when I checked out that the eye exam and $90 lenses came to $150 total. When I asked about the insurance covering the yearly exam, they said it didn't pertain to this visit. (I did call Davis Vision and filed a complaint with them, as they concluded the visit should have been covered and they did see the $90 charge only) . Slimy. Two weeks go by and I was informed the glasses are ready for pick up. I get to the counter and try on my pair as the employee hands me a note pad along with my new lenses; and sure enough, I read the small fine print on the note pad with ease and sharpness I haven't seen since I had perfect vision! But, the moment I looked up at her to show her my big smile, everything behind her was nothing but a blur and couldn't make out the pictures. I explained to her what I was experiencing and she informed me that my new glasses were reading glasses. This clearly was not was I was hoping for and explained my dissatisfaction with them. She tried to then upsell me on progressive lenses, which would correct the issue for an additional $90. I refused as I was under the impression this is what I had ordered in the first place, considering I never needed any reading glasses. The conversation went back and forth with upsells and alternatives, everything other than a solution. At this point, I've become annoyed and simply asked that they just go back to my original frames and lenses, so just refund me and I would seek other alternatives. She went to speak with the doctor, came back and said she would call me back with a solution. It's been 4 days, no call, no return call after numerous attempts, just forgotten Like I said, I really wanted to like this place but their business practices are unacceptable and very unprofessional. I hope this review makes you think twice about going to them.
