This was the most horrific experience of my life. I'm 50 years old and then waited my entire life to have a chance to fix my messed-up feet and was so excited for my appointment to go speak to someone. So fast forward a year and two surgeries later and my left foot that was done by dr. Berger is worse than it ever was. They want to blame it on this and blame it on that basically because I don't want to take the blame and say it's something that I did even though I took 3 weeks off and was told that I should go back to work 2 days after the surgery and that I had a pain in my toe that couldn't be bent but that actually was just from moving about around the house. Also she did nothing but tell me about how there's no pain associated with the surgery and even the next day after my surgery when I had my 70 year old dad drive two and a half hours from where he lives just to drive me to an appointment to see her she told me in my face that there was no reason for me to be experiencing pain and when I said to her that she wouldn't be able to say any longer that she couldn't say no one ever complained of pain she told me that since I shouldn't have had any pain she would still tell people that. And I've seen other reviews in hindsight after looking that have indicated that they had pain and she acted the same way so her telling me that to begin with was a lie. She is the most arrogant obnoxious surgeon I have ever dealt with especially for my foot to have an outcome the way it has and obviously she doesn't know as much about what she's doing as she says she does. I had my other foot done by the other surgeon in the office and that foot turned out fine and he also did his best to try to make a correction on the foot that she screwed up but a year later it's as bad as ever I have a lot of pain and it when I walk I have to wrap a Band-Aid around my toe just to be able to go for a walk because the way the surgery was done my toe constantly rubs on the one next to it and causes blisters every single time. It's a deformity that will last me for the rest of my life and this was a $15,000 surgery after everything was said and done and my toe is like that. I will say my bunions are gone but the hammer toe that was done regardless of what they want to say was not done correctly. Her attitude her treatment and most of all her surgery skills have literally scarred me for life. I am so appalled disgusted and disappointed that a surgeon could actually treat patients this way and also provide this kind of outcome when you go to them for help. She is a horrible doctor and in my opinion a horrible human being.
