good job doe
This establishment has been a place of callousness with no remorse since the beginning of this year 2023. I’ve been hesitant about reporting them to the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry but this week was my last straw when they violated my father. Never again will I choose a jiffy lube dentist with rotating staff. Briefly summarizing their errors include placing two temporary crowns that immediately fell out, placing two permanent crowns that went missing, and hastily trying to get me to have another one put in and pay out of pocket. DESPITE not even telling me why these “permanent” crowns haven’t been permanent and how can we rectify the situation to make sure they last this time around. I was placated by one (office) staff member that tried to minimize the severity of this issue physically and honestly most importantly economically. This member of staff told me how RARE the crown coming out was. How I was in the small percentile and it wouldn’t happen again. Now when I went back… to the patient suite and brought up the concerns of it happening again to Dr. Joey Kim that I just previously told the staff member up front, the doctor had a different response. Dr. Joey Kim said actually it can very much happen again AND because I have little enamel it’s hard to stick. He mentioned the enamel thing before but didn’t say ANYTHING about the possibility of it not staying. I am panicking and pressing him like is there anything I can do to try to make it stay because I can't afford to keep replacing crowns. I have needed a crown since 2018 and just this year 2023 they finally overturned an approval for one, which isn’t even the one that I’ve been requesting since 2018. Consequently after me, a nonprofessional of the field and has never even had a crown placed Dr. Joey Kim mentions a procedure called “crown lengthening”. Crown lengthening is supposed to give me more gum space to attach the crown. I’m bewildered at this point. If Dr. Joey Kim knew about this procedure previously AND knew I had little enamel, why not suggest the treatment BEFORE placing the “permanent” crown in? Also, once he saw the first one didn't stay secure and knew I had little enamel. Why would he try to quickly slap another one in my mouth? These people in front and behind the scenes are so diabolical and have no concerns with patient care at all. It’s all about monetary gains with them, not about long term patient care solutions. ABC (Always Be Closing) is the ethos of this business to get their desired effect of money hand over fist. All this time breaking my back for the hurdles of insurance, getting a root canal, appealing denials, doing crown lengthening surgery. I'm doing it with a mouth full of pain all this time. Mouth pain that I’ve never experienced in my life and not a single person cared. I also complained about stuff that they could do something about like when I mentioned about suspecting a cavity. I mentioned this issue more than once months apart. The last time I brought it up I was told by Dr. Yeojin Park, that the cavity wasn’t “visible” on the surface so I should wait to see what comes of it. Another time I mentioned it to Dr Yeojin Park, I was also told that since she couldn’t see anything she didn’t want to “dig around searching” because that might make matters worse. Literally, all my teeth were hurting for a year for some reason or another. Whether it was the surgeries or healing from the surgeries or the doctor's instructions of how I should only eat on one side of my mouth. The recommendations I received for an ENTIRE year was to eat on one side. I was steadily getting pain and the doctor's response was my mouth is overcompensating for chewing on one side and that is the cause so when I get the crown it’ll be fine. After the second temp crown came out with the quickness I didn't even want to go to my next check up. I was both scared of what they would do next in terms of physical or lack of action harm. I'm still behind on my check up
