ACENT Alaska Center for Ear Nose and Throat

Waited for quite awhile to get in to see someone for sinus issues. My entire appt lasted less than an hour, 30 min of that time was spent waiting in the lobby while they contacted insurance for preauthorization for CAT scan which was performed in the office. When checking out from appt was told my portion of the bill would be $600 which I paid. Waited several more days for a written quote to have day surgery. ACENT would not commit to a price, just gave me a broad estimate of cost. Because of this, I informed them I'd be going for a second opinion, which I did, and decided on surgery with a different doctor. Approx 6 months later received a bill for $900+ more from ACENT up charging me for that one office visit which had already been preauthorized and paid. I contacted their billing dept and sent several emails with my complaint. ACENT has now turned me over to collections! I suspect this business fraudulently over charged patients (me) post COVID pandemic trying to recoup losses.
