Advancements in Allergy and Asthma came highly recommended to our family due to their FARM program. We started in fall 2023. In February, 2024, a 75.00 admin fee was added to our bill. I called the office, thinking this was an error since we had just paid a $2500 fee to start the FARM program, but it was not an error. Additionally, providers have questionable billing practices and will bill for level 4 appointments if parents ask questions (about next steps after reaching maintenance) or if the provider deems the appointment "higher risk." We have been going to AAAC for years. I am disappointed with this recent development. Their new thing is to Charge Additional Fees Outside of Insurance to provide service that everyone else somehow includes in their fees. The new fee for the Pleasure of giving them your business is 75 per Year.If you want one of their Advanced Programs add on an Additional 2,500 to 3,500 that cannot be paid by insurance.I thought for Sure after paying them 2500 for the FARM Program - 7 months of Food Allergy desensitization that we would not be charged an additional 75. fee... that was not the case. To be fair they did post the information on their website... not sure home many people search through the site every week or day and they did include information in our weekly text message to look at the website with 2 days warning before the fee went into effect. At this point they are losing my business... i will go to one of the other providers covered under our health plan.
