The concern I have with this Wound Care clinic is their use of IV antibiotics. They require their patients to get a pic line in order to be connected to an IV line. After the pic line is inserted, they begin receiving IV antibiotics every day. It is a requirement for treatment. They use the strongest IV antibiotics, Vancomycin. Most of the patients are elderly and vulnerable, making them easily taken advantage of. In my opinion, what they are doing is dangerous and unethical. A patient should at least have the opportunity to choose to receive IV treatment on a daily basis, if at all. I would expect this doctor to be aware of antibiotic resistance. In addition to the daily intravenous antibiotic treatment, many of the IV technicians treated the patients like they were a nuisance. I have never seen anything like this before. It was shocking, to say the least. I am not a person who is overly critical or judgmental, and I can understand how reviews can affect a professional. I am cautious… when reviewing a health professional, but I had to say something about this as it is so dangerous in my opinion.
