I have been living with back issues for over a decade. I have had multiple procedures in the past. My only option at this point was lower lumbar spinal fusion. My wife and I met with many surgeons while making our decision on who we would trust to perform this procedure. Dr Kachwalter immediately separated himself from others we met with. He asked series of questions others didn't, specifically what my life goals were, and the options we could explore to make them real. His honest and direct speaking was appreciated and comforting. We targeted specific locations through nerve blocking injections for surgical research. We approached this as a team. I had a say in my options and post-surgery expectations. We opted for a 3 layer fusion. I am currently 3 weeks post surgery. The procedure went even better than planned, however, I suspect the Dr was not suprised. As of now the leg issues I was hoping to manage have been eliminated. Recovery is going well, an His support is still on-going

I absolutely love Dr. Nachwalter, he was very helpful when I asked questions about my options, as what to do with my herniated disks, and when we talked surgery, he explained what he was going to do, and how the procedure was done. I felt very confident and comfortable with his ability to do the surgery. Recovery takes time, but going well. I am pain free and no more migraines. 100% recommended!
