Cooper River Eye Associates

I have had three eye operations on my left eye: a cornea transplant, a cataract surgery, and a surgery for a retina pucker. My vision in my left eye was diminished greatly, and could not be corrected with glasses. My right eye was doing all of the work, and I was very tired at the end of a day as a programmer. My cornea doctor, Dr Kristen Hammersmith, recommended that I make an appointment with Dr Arun Kaistha of Cooper River Eye Associates, and said that he was the best for helping me to see clearly again. I made the appointment with Dr. Kaistha and after a very thorough eye exam, Dr Arun Kaistha suggested that a Scleral Lense may work well for me. On that first visit Dr Kaistha used a Scleral test lens and after inserting the test lens I was seeing very clear, and my tested vision with the scleral lens was 20/20. Amazing!! I highly recommend Dr Arun Kaistha to anyone as a very thorough Optometric Physician, for his thorough ness in reviewing the notes associated with my eye… from other doctors, and the way he listens to his patients and helps you to understand what each test is and what he finds, and the way he thoroughly explains things, and you do not feel rushed through your appointment. He's a one in a million Doctor, and I am so blessed that he has given me hope to see clearly again. I cannot wait for my next appointment when they have my new lens is test fitted, and he shows me how to insert and remove the lens.
