Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center Radiology

Had an appointment to come in for a procedure. I had 9 different healthcare providers over a 90 minute visit. Each one completely unfamiliar with me. Resident gave me one plan. 10 minutes later I found out the resident would not be doing the procedure. Plan of care completely changed and I met a new doctor. Then it switched yet again to another one. Had to explain repeatedly why a certain medication could not be used. The constant turnaround of providers every 10 minutes made me very uneasy in terms of safety. There was no communication between staff. The next day radiology called me twice. Once to check how I was feeling. An hour later to schedule me for the procedure that I just had done. Very disorganized and chaotic. I’ve been here several times and it’s like this 75% of the time. You have no idea what the plan is or who your doctor is until they step up to you in the procedure room. What’s worse is they have no knowledge of the patients presenting before them either. I’ve never… been to a department where I’ve felt more at risk for medical error than here.
