Was referred to DLV Vision for Macular Degeneration. Dr. Shah is wonderful... competent, knowledgeable and kind with a great "bedside manner". The office, however, is a disaster. On my first visit, I waited almost 2 hours to be seen. Just as disturbing is that they insist on having you pay before you leave, prior to submitting to Medicare. My experience with all other doctors is that they bill Medicare then you are billed for the outstanding balance. When I called the billing department and tried to have a discussion with them, there was a rooster crowing and dog barking in the background. When I asked for the Medicare accounting of my treatment, I was told that he wasn't allowed to share that. The operation feels like a Medicare scam and boiler room and in spite of some good doctors, I would never recommend them.
