This Pain Management doctor was recommended by my wife’s PCP for her low back pain. We expected him to be top notch. On our first visit for evaluation and course of treatment, he spent most of the time telling us how great he was, but he did recommend a course of action which involved a series of SI injections to relive the pain. The injections were supposed to be effective for 3 to 4 months. These injections required insurance approval. After 3 days I called our insurance to check on the status of the request. They hadn’t received it yet. I called the Doctor’s office to inquire on the status there. I was told the Doctor hadn’t submitted it yet. This was a Friday, so nothing happened until Monday. After it was approved, we arrived for the first injection to find out that the Doctor had requested a Bursa Injection instead of SI injection. He did an injection of some sort that was effective for 3 days. When we arrived for a second injection, it was the same story. The approval was for a… Bursa injection not an SI injection. He did some sort of an injection anyway that was totally ineffective. The third injection didn’t happen! Again, he said the approval was for a Bursa not a SI injection. It became immediately apparent that even though he is the greatest, he submitted the injection request for the WRONG injection but is too arrogant to admit the mistake and correct. We don’t believe he even looked at the MRI report that we provided let alone submitted a correct approval request. RUN FROM THIS DOCTOR AS FAST AS YOU CAN. PAIN DOESN’T WAIT, IT JUST GETS WORSE!!!
