This place is dangerous. This is only some of what happened…A week after sinus surgery, I had a low grade fever, worsening headaches and facial pressure. I called the office 3 times and was told it was from an unrelated virus. I was talked down to by my 3rd call. But, I pushed and was seen…I had an infection and was prescribed antibiotics. I began to feel better but 2 days later, the low grade fever came back with worse headaches, facial pressure and post nasal drip. At my next follow up, I still had the same symptoms but the doctor didn’t bother to check the results of the culture until I pushed. He said the infection was gone but once he begrudgingly looked at the results of the culture, he found that I wasn’t being treated with the correct antibiotic. Despite saying that I didn’t have an infection, he prescribed a different antibiotic. When I questioned the low grade fever, he said “what is a low grade fever, really? It’s like saying you have a low grade pregnancy.” Shocking. I… was told that it was normal to feel worse than I did before surgery at 3 weeks after surgery and a low grade fever for two weeks wasn’t a concern. I wasn’t told to make a follow up appointment. The fact that this practice is known for double and triple booking patients is probably part of the problem. I felt rushed and unimportant. Fortunately, with some outside help, I was able to get an appointment for second opinion within days. Even though I had to drive into Philly, the problems were identified and appropriately treated. I was surprised to learn that I still have polyps that were not removed during the surgery, meaning I have to have another surgery. The difference between doctors was incredible. The new doctor spent time with me and asked me detailed questions about my history and what had happened with this recent procedure. He took his time in completing the exam and explained everything to me. He listened and made me feel that he actually cared about my health. Maybe most procedures go well and most won’t have complications, but it only takes once for you to go into septic shock or end up with meningitis and die. Why take the chance of being seen by doctors at this practice who may let that happen if you do, by chance, have anything other than a smooth recovery? Especially when there’s good ones out there. One star isn’t deserved. I wholeheartedly recommend going somewhere else.
