At 79+ years old, I am delighted that my two cataract surgeries were an absolute easy-peasy breeze and my vision is back to my 20s. No glasses needed for near, mid, or distance. And I'm in week 3 of healing. Yes the eyedropper are a minor chore, but the result is worth it. Dr. Daniel W. Welch has given this ole gal new vision to continue her fine art painting and teaching. I got the Toric Multifocal lens and I could not be happier. If you are contemplating cataract surgery I recommend you get it now. It is totally worth it. Why spend another day with poor vision?
Very courteous staff. Numerous reminders of upcoming surgery. Follow up phone call after surgery.
My experience at the center could not have been any better.
I had R cataract removal surgery at the Eye Surgery and Laser Center on Ave. K on 3-2-2026. Dr. Silbiger was my surgeon and my anesthesiologist was William P. Meyers. From the moment I checked in until I was wheeled to my car it was great. I have numerous health problems and they checked and double checked everything before I had surgery. The center looked clean there were no smells. No pine sol, no bleach, nothing trying to be covered up, just cool and calm and normal.Sharon took me back and was with me until they rolled me back to surgery. She was awesome. Really on top of everything to do with me. There was another lady whom I refer to in my mind as “the drops girl”. She was the one who put all my drops in my eye, and there are many. I’ m sure she did multiple things but she was so good with having tissues at the ready so drops wouldn’t roll into my ears. She also explained every drop and what it was for. She even told me that “this next drop is a little spicy” which I smiled about.… She was right on. It was spicy. I met my anesthesiologist and he was great also. He played some good music and gave me a feeling of reassurance. That he was with the program and was confident. I’m telling you by now I am shocked at how kind, friendly and gracious all these people were. I have had a few bad experiences. Therefore I approach all things, anywhere cautiously and am ready to leave if there is even a hint of problematic people or people who don’t listen. Sometimes I like to reiterate the fact that I lost my L kidney to cancer and have CKD in the R kidney and that I have had a heart attack and had two stents placed. I feel more comfortable when I reassure myself that everyone is aware and takes the necessary precautions in case something were to come up. They listened, they heard and they acknowledged me. If you are on the fence about where to go. This is the place I would pick. Without hesitation. On a scale of 1-10 they are a twenty. Really. Thanks Dr. Silbiger and all the people that touched my life on March 2nd, 2026. I will thank my God upon my every remembrance of you all! Karla Lambert

So pleased with the Doctors/Surgeons, Nurses/Technicians and all the staff members. Everyone was very professional and kind. My surgery on my right eye went great with good results. I will be having surgery on my right eye in a few days. Can’t wait for that eye to be a lot clearer too.
Very pleased with the process knowledgeable, doctors nurses in personnel little slow in the financial process checking out.
The Eye Surgery and Laser Center in Winterhaven, Florida is the best. Everyone is professional and kind. My husband and I both have had our Cataracts removed there and with each visit have been very pleased with how smooth everything went. The waiting room is very cool so wear warm clothes if you tend to be cold like me.
This is an excellent choice. I was amazed at the levels of perfectionism at every level of care. I can’t say enough good about it. It’s a well oiled machine.
2nd eye surgery MUCH better experience. All went as planned and appropriately, though i still question the process of ambulating to and from the laser machine. Seems like a safety risk for all. (1st surgery: Mass confusion from check-in, through prep, to post-op. Still waiting for vision to improve 48 hours post-op after being double-dosed with dialation drops prepping me for the procedure. Fingers crossed.)
