Bad experience! My lady friend speaks Spanish and her appointment was cancelled due to stupidity. Family home Dental sent her a text reminder IN ENGLISH one week in advance of her appointment. They wanted her to confirm the appointment, but she didn't understand the text because it was in ENGLISH. Less than 24 hours before her appointment she received a rude text message in SPANISH warning her that her appointment would be cancelled if she didn't confirm her appointment right away. That warning text was sent while she was at work, The problem is she can't receive texts while on her job, and she works a ten hour shift. She replied as soon as possible around 3 p.m. after she got off work to confirm her appointment, but later that night at 8 p.m. she received another rude text in SPANISH telling her that her appointment had been cancelled and she would have to reschedule. She drove to the office, anyway, at the scheduled time, and she was turned away because her appointment had… been cancelled. This office is bilingual. I would suggest they send all appointment reminder texts in both English and Spanish to all patients in order to avoid screwups like this in the future. My lady friend never misses an appointment for anything. Her appointment should not have been cancelled. Had she not shown up, the office could have billed her for it, but cancelling her appointment at 8p.m. after she had already confirmed it within the allotted time was inexcusable. Now we have to look for another dentist. Too bad for all concerned parties.
