I had cataract surgery in August 2024. Ever since the surgery, I've experienced chronic irritation in my right eye, which is frequently so bad that it causes my right eye to close. I have had several follow up appointments to address the irritation. Each resulting in a different diagnosis with different treatment, but no improvement in my eye. Today (May 19th), I had an appointment with Dr. Allen, the surgeon who performed the cataract surgery. I waited over two and a half hours, as he was obviously overbooked. I finally had enough and left. I really regret having had the cataract surgery and would not recommend Florida Eye Institute to anyone.
