I'm very disappointed because you've called me twice this week to confirm a 4:00PM Friday appointment for a contacts fitting, and I front-loaded my week to get my projects out of the way and got my 40 billable hours in by end of day Thursday to leave my day clear to make absolutely, positively sure I don't get pulled into a last-minute design or code review meeting in the afternoon and derail my appointment, you called me at 9:00am to cancel/reschedule my appointment, citing "staffing issues" and the alternate date you offered was next year - mid-January. This is unacceptable - especially considering that if I call the day of, I'd probably get slapped with a cancelation fee. ?????????????????????????? YOUR STAFFING ISSUES SHOULD NOT BE MY PROBLEM!!! I've already been frustrated because you've listed hours of 8-6, but the optical center pretty much closes down at 5:15. I was fairly irritated to find that out because I went by your online presence (I see you've since updated your hours… on the web site to more accurately reflect your limited hours), and your optical center is not open Saturdays, EVER, so your schedule is not amicable to people who actually work 9-5 and have limited PTO. I visited your location on black friday since I knew Oakley was running a sale on ALL products including prescription lenses and I also knew Harbor View Eye Care is an authorized reseller of Oakley products, and wouldn't you know it.. Harbor View Eye Care was closed, so I missed out on that sale. You healthcare businesses lobby like hell against socialised universal healthcare claiming that staffing issues and 'waiting lists' for appointments are what come with socialism, but it turns out that the system that actually under-staffs is capitalism! I work with a LOT of folks in various EU nations and the UK, India, Australia, and Scandenavian nations, and none of them have these complaints about their healthcare. Here in 'Murica we need to wait months for appointments with a specialist, which is what your "waiting lists" you attempt to scaremonger us with your lobbying really is - just that a scarce specialized practitioner happens to be booked up. The "waiting lists" in socialism do not exist, and they do not have the staffing problems that we have, and yes, their medical professionals who went through 8-12 years of education are still paid very well. Your doctors are excellent, the clinic is excellent, but the optical center hours, and your one-sided cancelation policy? Not so much. ???????????????????????? I'll be expecting a check to compensate me for canceling with less than 24 hours' notice, thank you. If it weren't for this cancelation that they think is in any way acceptable, and the extremely limited hours of the optical center that requires me to take time out of work any time I need them, it'd be a solid recommend because the doctors are very good and the diagnostic equipment is all ultra modern. Fix your optical center hours and FIX YOUR $%@&*$^%! "STAFFING ISSUES!" Understand that your patients/clients value their time just as highly as you value your time, so if you cannot address your "staffing issues" at least compensate your clients, and don't offer an alternate appointment date over a month further out, INTO THE NEXT YEAR especially when vision benefits reset at the end of the month That shyte is completely unacceptable!!!!
