I saw Dr Zhang at this practice in Summer 2022 and liked him and made a follow up appointment for January 2023. A few days before, they called to cancel the appointment in Middletown and wanted me to come to the Dover office instead. The time required for the extra distance did not work for my Schedule that day, so I canceled outright. When I called back to reschedule, I was informed that I could not make an appointment with Dr Zhang, only with another provider. I called about three times to make an appointment and although I asked to speak to the office manager, he never called me. I was only offered an appointment with a different provider which I ultimately declined. Why would I want a nonemergency appointment with a different provider? Now, in July 2023, I tried again and successfully made an appointment, only to be called back the next day and told my appointment was canceled. , as “I was not a good fit because I was noncompliant”. A doctor who has seen me one time cannot… make a judgement on compliance regarding medication, etc. So, it must be the case that I am not compliant because either I did not come back in 6 months (I tried) or because I would not let them palm me off on a different provider. The staff, with whom I dealt, were polite and reasonable, but someone higher up is making poor policy decisions affecting customer service. Therefore, I strongly recommend against using this practice.
