Absolutely unacceptable experience. I called this medical office simply to get my lab results, and what I encountered was beyond unprofessional. First, the staff couldn’t even locate my information. Then they told me someone from the lab would call me — no one ever did. When I followed up to say we hadn’t received a call, someone else picked up (possibly one of the providers, either Asmik Akopyan, M.D. or Armen Avetisyan, NP) and immediately began speaking to me in an incredibly rude, condescending, and disrespectful tone. They said things like “Listen, why are you calling?” — as if I was bothering them for no reason. I am also a healthcare provider myself, and I can confidently say this behavior is completely unethical and unacceptable in any clinical setting. There are clear professional standards and ethics when interacting with patients, and this office violated every one of them. If you are working in healthcare, you have zero right to scream at patients, ignore follow-up… responsibilities, or treat them with such disrespect. Train your staff and providers to speak to people with basic human decency — and to actually provide the care and communication that patients deserve. Disgraceful.
