MEDICALLY INJURED by this provider group. Memorial hires unqualified nurse practitioners to see their patients and promises follow up care with neurologists thereafter. I made the biggest mistake of my life trusting my care with Memorial. In 2024, I was sick with unexplained neurological symptoms. I visited a long covid clinic out of my area and was diagnosed with sfn via qsart screening. Their neurologists were not able to see me for 9 months and so I decided to seek a provider locally. Memorial also has neurology appts with their doctors way out in advance and so their appt line suggested I start my work up with an ARNP. Big mistake. I entrusted my care to Dailis Rodriguez, ARNP in their Miami office. Dailis advised that I had a plethora of tests to do to find the source of my sfn. I thought it was excessive but since I was deteriorating I was anxious get care to stop the progression. First, she coded all the blood work wrong which produced a bill of 6k with Quest. I had to dispute… this for months on end. But that’s not the worst part. Dailis used incorrect diagnostic bloodwork and worst of all she asked for another MRI with contrast of my optic nerves. I told her I had several ct scans and MRI’s in the past year as I was getting sick and ending up in ER. She had access to all the scans. Yet she insisted on another. She told me it was completely safe. I told her I was not comfortable with another scan but she advised if I didn’t do the MRI with contrast that the neurologist wouldn’t see me. I went against my gut instinct and did the scan. I had a severe reaction and today I have something called gadolinium deposition disease. I have 35 new and severe symptoms, my skin has changed and I have gained 30 pounds of water weight this past year. I am really sick. And the worst part of it is when I saw the neurologist he told me that a blood marker for mogad that was low positive was typical for people with autoimmune disease which I had. So I probably didn’t need the scan. After this experience I saw two integrative medicine doctors. I had more bloodwork and urine testing done. It turns out that Dailis used a Lyme antibody screen that is largely false negative. An immuno blot test was done by my new doctors and indeed, I tested positive. I also tested positive for heavy metal toxicity. Dailis used a blood test for heavy metals. However, metals stay in the blood only acutely. Urine testing is more accurate. There are local neurologists who use urine testing so this is not out of the norm. The problem was that Dailis Rodriguez did not know what she was doing. This provider ruined my life and that of my family’s. I had an opportunity to get well from my original ailments. However, due to Dailis’ ineptitude, my quality of life and its entire trajectory has been severely compromised. Stay far far away from this practice. Your life may depend on it.
