Mountain View Family Medicine

Dr. Campbell has been my primary care doctor for over ten years. She herself is very nice, a good listener, and quite responsive to messages (though she is usually unwilling to do anything without an in-person appointment so she can get more money out of you). The office staff however, is another story. They refuse to do simple things like following up with insurance to get prior authorizations for medications they prescribed. I have one medication that was prescribed 2 months ago that they still haven't submitted the paperwork for. When I called to tell them that insurance still hadn't received the paperwork, and to ask that they send a new prescription to the pharmacy so I could buy it out of pocket (because I actually need the meds...) they intentionally hung up on me. Several weeks later, they sent me a letter in the mail saying they are dropping me as a patient. I guess they only take patients that don't require paperwork. I recognize that those of us with chronic illnesses are… more work, but that doesn't mean we deserve to be dropped just because some of our medications require prior authorizations. Also, if you're considering David Ottolenghi (the other doctor at the practice) beware, he doesn't believe in vaccines... I sure wouldn't want a doctor who trusts politicians over science.
