I would have submitted 0 stars if possible. Even though they participate with my insurance, this office collected fees BEFORE I had my appointment, by credit card- on the phone( while making appointment ). I was told I would be reimbursed after insurance paid their share. After the appointment they said I owed an additional fee. I was given a receipt saying I paid in full. The receipt itemized my payment and said that I had paid for the X-ray they took. They submitted incorrect billing codes to Aetna for coverage of the exam and Aetna did not cover it. Aetna paid for the X-ray as the office did submit the proper code for that. I spent hours of my life dealing with Aetna and the North Penn Endodontics office manager, Laura. Aetna requested a resubmission of the bill with the proper code. The office resubmitted the improper code for the second time. Within this time the office billed me an additional $30.00 more ..over and above what appeared on my receipt that said I had a $0 balance .… I called them, Aetna and wrote seven emails to Laura the office manager…to no avail. i visited another endodontist and then an oral surgeon for the same tooth problem- that were Aetna participating who entered the proper codes. The visits were covered 100%. North Penn Endo. charged me $120.00 for the same appointment and were paid twice...once by me and once by Aetna for the X-ray. I think that is illegal??I paid all of the charges because I kept getting letters from their collection agency ( a total of 3 between December and February. Both Aetna and the office made no attempt to solve this billing travesty. I paid to protect my credit…
