Dr. Uquillas was amazing. I'm so grateful to have had her through my pregnancy with twins. HOWEVER, this practice has predatory billing practices. They know their patients are there for high risk pregnancies so they are going to keep going as often as you tell them to even though they haven't gotten a bill. I went 10 times over the course of my pregnancy. They mailed me a bill for the first visit. I asked repeatedly for bills in the office and only got a copy of one from them one time. The only way I knew how much to pay was buy looking at my insurance EOBs. They finally sent another bill after I gave birth. The remaining balance was incorrect but I paid it anyway. NOW they continue to sens bills saying I haven't paid in full and they add an exorbitant late fee even though I have sent proof of payment for every single appointment twice. They do not give you a receipt that shows what payment corresponds to what bill when you pay neither in the office nor online. They do not show you a… balance owed/due when you make a payment online either. Worst of all they know the population they work with is at higher risk for post partum mental health issues, and they think it's ok to just pile one with BS late fees.....you can't be late on a bill you paid before you every even received it!
