something is very wrong with the office staff. I did a test there , no results given although its been 2 weeks . I went for the telehealth visit , paid, no visit , claimed they couldnt here me and didnt refund the money . Claimed they will mail it out , they never did . I had to call back, still waiting for results. Shameful indeed
BEWARE – the office staff at this practice does not value your life and will put you in sever risk. I was seeing Dr. Iosif Kelesidis at the Wesley Chapel location since being diagnosed with A-fib. He was very helpful and insightful. He also recommended I see a pulmonary specialist to see if I have sleep apnea since it is not common for someone my age to have A-fib. He was right, the pulmonary doctor diagnosed me with sever sleep apnea. To manage my A-fib Dr. Kelesidis prescribed flecainide, along with magnesium oxide supplement, diltiazem for blood pressure and Eliquis for blood thinner. From what I was told by the doctor, a blood thinner is needed to avoid blood clotting that can cause a stroke for someone with A-fib. Eliquis is extremely expensive and requires special approval before an insurance company will authorize it. I was laid off in May and started a new job in July. This means I had to change insurance companies. When it came time to refill my prescriptions in… October, the new insurance company would not refill the Eliquis without the special documentation and authorization from the prescribing doctor. This was also previously the case with the old insurance company but it got done at some point. However, after leaving a voicemail on October 24 on option 7 at Premier Heart and Vascular, and a live message with the call center folks on November 2nd, November 3rd, and again on November 6th, I did not receive a call back until the end of day on November 7th. The person that called had no idea what the issue was and I had to re-explain everything. After re-explaining the problem with getting the Eliquis refilled and giving all of my new insurance info, the person promised to reach out to another person in the office and promised me a call back the next day – which would be November 8th. I am writing this on November 13, 2023 and no call back has been received. I called the office again today and spoke to someone in the call center and asked to speak to the office manager at the Wesley Chapel location. After a long hold they told me they could not reach Samantha the office manager at all but would send a message. I declined since messages are clearly disregarded by the office. Instead I cancelled all of my future appointments with Premier Heart and Vascular and sent a message to my primary care physician asking for a referral for a new cardiologist since I had to fire Premier Heart and Vascular for complete incompetence and complete disregard for my risk of a stroke by the office staff and office manager, Samantha, in the Wesley Chapel location. If you are an existing patient and are on a medication that requires special authorization and you change insurance companies for any reason – BEWARE – Premier Heart and Vascular WILL NOT communicate with you nor the insurance company and you will not be able to get the refill. If you are a new or prospective patient with Premier Heart and Vascular – BEWARE – you will potentially run into the same problem getting a prescription refilled. Find yourself another cardiologist instead. No matter how good the doctor is, if the office staff will not do their job, you could end up dying and that’s not who you want to have that kind of power over your life. The office staff at Premier Heart and Vascular should be completely ashamed of themselves but they are not – because they simply do not care about your life.
