I made an appointment to see a provider at Riverside Immediate Care in Watseka. My provider was a nurse practitioner named Jessica Morales. Jessica lacked empathy and compassion. She seemed overwhelmed. Every time someone walked into the Immediate Care Facility, she left her patient and went to the front desk. She turned away 4 patients in less than 30 minutes even though the posted hours on the front door said she the facility was open until 8pm. I saw her browsing her personal social media accounts between patients. I don’t think she was overbooked or anything. It seems she wanted to do anything other than treat patients. There was one patient in a room and I was in the waiting area, next to be seen. While waiting, two different people walked in to be seen and she ran from the exam room in back and told the two ladies that she was not seeing any more patients that day. It wasn’t even 5pm and she was turning people away. Maybe she’s overworked but her attitude was hostile. She’s not… empathetic or caring. Does not actively listen to the patient. Ethically ,Jessica Morales seems to be preoccupied with something besides treating the patients at the walk-in Immediate Care. She rushed me and spent less than 7 minutes with me. She didn’t listen to my lungs or heart, which I found odd since I was there for an upper respiratory infection. I had to ask her to examine my ears and throat. She asked me what my pcp normally prescribed and didn’t seem to want to examine me and make her own decisions about my medical treatment. Jessica Morales is too concerned with her social media accounts. She contacted me while working at Riverside Immediate Care in Watseka and asked me about a post I made on my private and personal Facebook page. Be aware that she’s more concerned about sitting around and doing nothing except scrolling Facebook instead of taking care of patients. Do your due diligence before making an appointment with her. She lacks integrity and professionalism.
