Seiden Dental Excellence

Long story short, unethical dentist/medical office who will have you see an "out-of-network dentist" without telling you. We visited for the first time at the end of the summer last year due to reviews I read and made an appointment to see Dr. Seiden. Go to our appointments, they aren't with him, they are with someone else, no reason given, okay, still was a decent visit. Fast forward to October, and we start receiving calls from Jill, their accounting/billing person stating that our insurance mailed us a check and that we are to "immediately" bring it to the office for them. No reason why, just that our insurance was the one to incorrectly bill the whole thing. I told her we never received a check but once we did, we would bring it in. Weeks passed and still we never received yet Jill now started insinuating that we were keeping the check from them and that "it seems odd you're the only one not to receive it, just know that you will be billed." She was threatening us every follow up… call when I have only provided the honest truth to her. In mid-December, she finally called saying "yes, the insurance company states you haven't cashed the check after all so I presume you may need them to re-issue one, we now need you to call them and request the check and then bring it in office to me." After all the threats I am fuming but call anyways. And guess what? The insurance company actually explained in detail what happened - the Seiden office had forced us to see an out-of-network dentist (Seiden is in-network, the one we saw was not), then changed things while billing, and now are begging for the check to benefit them from insurance. And my insurance company suggested I even dispute the billing for what they did! They reissued the check and I received it in the mail this weekend (which the dentist office is now closed on Saturdays, must be nice for them). I coordinated my work schedule to go in mid-week but then I got a letter in the mail from Jill also on the Monday. Accusing me of keeping the check (which is dated DECEMBER 27 and then had to mailed to me, which was received January 5!) and that here is a bill to pay. I have recorded her calls, keep this bill letter, and am so disgusted by how we have been treated (mind you I am EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT) while all we have done is try to do their office a favor. Never again and Jill needs to check herself.
