To have this kind of treatment, w/ the threat of cancer looming, was absolutely criminal in a health care facility. -appointment made quickly & I was so happy -SM cancelled the appointment & sent an email to me after. -I called SM & was told that the referral, which was previously fine with them, was now "not the right terminology". I asked the rep "why didn't you call me to get what you needed before cancelling the appt?" He stated, "I don't know why they would just cancel the appointment." It is a very time sensitive scenario re: cancer. - contacted my Dr. & asked for a corrected referral. - My Dr. sent the SAME referral over to SM, which was correct & a new appt was made. - On the way to my appt, (out of town & at 8:00 a.m.) They called to reschedule to 10:00. - Upon arriving, receptionist: "Has any information changed since the last time you were in?" came from the receptionist. "I've never been here before!". -Pleasant gal in hoodie did my MRI mentioned "these are old… machines" which had me nervous as to their accuracy. When finished she placed the gauze & pressure wrap off to the side of the IV site & I was left with a gold ball blood swelling & bruise. -Dr. could not read the info on CD provided. Stated that they often have trouble reading the info from SM. -took 3 calls & over 20 mins on hold to get another CD to hear: "You can access your results online on the patient portal." I was in tears multiple times due to the ineptness at SM.
