Very poor customer service. When I first joined, I explained to my nurse practitioner, Oghale, about side effects that I have had with certain medications. She told her I didn’t have them. At no point did I ever say that I didn’t want to take any medications. She did not listen to me or take me seriously when I told her about various concerns, but instead argues about things that are not important. It seems she takes my concerns as a personal attack instead of me being concerned about my health. My doctor, Lauren Wilson, told me I can just “go somewhere else”. I’ve never been disrespected like this. The only reason why I didn’t leave is because I could not find psychiatrists that were accepting patients within a short time frame. There is poor communication. I needed a form completed and sent to my insurance company for prior approval of medication. They ignored the pharmacy which attempted to contact them for over a week. When I found out what was going on, I contacted Texas… Behavioral to let them know my insurance company needed this form completed, at my insurance company’s direction. Long story short, Texas Behavioral disregarded my messages, and it took my insurance company calling on my behalf to get the form completed. This took an incredible amount of jumping through hoops to get a basic and necessary form completed, and I ran out of medication. Recently, Oghale failed to submit my prescription in a timely manner after numerous messages that I was nearly out of medication. Again, the office promised me that my prescription would be filled and not to worry. However, this did not happen. When I asked Oghale about what happened, this turned into an argument and finally she admitted that she sent the request the day after I ran out and the doctor, Lauren Wilson, who was supposed to approve it was on vacation. Oghske also said she doesn’t have control over which months have 30 or 31 days. I asked to speak with the office manager, Eric Bao, and I was repeatedly ignored. Then Oghale said that in order for me to continue my ADHD medication, that I needed to submit a urine drug test, and that also my drug test needed to indicate that I was taking my Concerta. She said they needed to check for amphetamines. I’ve never been asked this before and I’m not quite sure that Concerta can be detected in urine. I guess they think if you raise issues that you are on drugs. My drug test indicated negative for amphetamines, even though I take my Concerta daily. The last appointment seemed to be unnecessary, as she said I need another in person visit before she can prescribe my ADHD medication. So instead of contacting me well before my appointment last week which could have been in person, now I have to have another appointment next week in person. I’m very dissatisfied with Oghale’s unprofessionalism and disregard for me. This office is unprofessional, the staff is uncaring, and they will ignore you. If they do respond, they will tell you that someone will get back with you, and then this never happens. So now I document everything. If you look online there are many complaints. They create the negative environment and then don’t understand why people complain. I do not recommend this office.
